Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to get hold of raw results data for Metro Victorian TAB Racing for the last couple of years.
An example of the format would be as follows (perhaps in a CSV/TXT/DOC/XLS):
horsename,place,jockey,distance,track,#runners,weight,weightdif,time,trackcond,barrier,date,prizemoney......any data attributed to that horse
If I could get 4-5 years of data, that would be great! but would settle for what is available.
Even if you can't help directly, maybe you can direct me to someone who may be able to.
Thanks and regards,
Rob...

I can't think of any free access to other than daily and gone, but for many years I was sending to the RSB in Victoria to buy the ARR - Was more than you need because it covered every race in Aus. - It became expensive and so I switched to the daily net instead - However if you don't do any good you might want to look at the horseman's bookshop re.
either the same ARR book, or their own version of the
'Australian Race Results' which looks almost identical.
It's only $85 whereas mine was approx. $250 so I can't tell if theirs is
for the whole year as the official ARR was, anyway you can check if all else fails and you are serious enough - BTW, the RSB in Vic. did have a subscription
internet version a few years ago where you could login and use their
access back to approx. 92 - I paid for a year but then was experiencing
PITA computer problems so had to revert to the ARR manual and fair play
to them they credited my bullion paid.
It's easy to find both sites to see what they offer because I can never recall
what the standing orders of political correctness are on this Forum re.
giving out site addies and I'm too goddamned old to spend time fiddling and messing trying to fathom the ridiculous.

The data isn't hard to get. You can easily scrap it from certain sites on the net. I don't read here much these days but I can extract it for you. If you haven't got it then let me know and you can be added to my very long list of things to do and I will try and get it done sometime.
Good Luck.
