Sirmione for mine aswell I am taking no notice of his last run round that greyhound track at canterbury, he needs open spaces to wind up interesting jockey change what happened to Mertens is he suspended?

Cummings has given the ride to Bowman as a reward for his recent hard work (trackwork). Peter will be back on in Melbourne.

Bowmen is a far better choice for Sydney tracks. Regardless of that we have a heavy track to contend with. Get out the darts!

Don't get me wrong I wasn't bagging Hugh he is a very good jockey and IMO a better jockey than Mertens but I was just wondering what had happened as the horse had been going well for him before last start

Mertens is a great Jockey, but for Sydney tracks[?] I'd take Bowman in big races in Syd. anyday. Trainer and owners conclude I think.

On a heavy track, I'm going for the Fuzz I think.

Crash don't worry I amnot saying Mertens isn't a very good jockey he is one of the few that i don't think twice about backing and there are some very big name jockeys on the list that i think twice about, however I rate Bowman very highly and had some very good results and in sydney i agree Bowman is the way to go.

Tuesday Joy but i hope Beadman has a lead because the Princess will be coming late,,,The Fuzz for 3rd for a good Sydney Cup trial,,,,expect sirmione to be the widest and that might suit,,,could get a place..

I was wrong and maybe i under rated Tuesday Joy a bit (or over rated the rest of them alot) she won pretty easy however IMO the talk of the Arc is ridiculos she would get wind burn as they run past her over there, They have horses actually bred to be stayers in Europe unlike over here we have such a diluted pool of stayers that it only takes a half decent one and you'll win a few good races with it.

yeah raw it seems a the ARC would be a bit rich for her. she was impressive today and has been very impressive this preparation but racing over there and racing over here is completely different. looking at the class in todays race IMO there wasnt much. beside tuesday joy and princess coup i dont really rate any of the others. and i think that showed with the distance covering the field at the finish. but i guess we'll never know til singo sends her over there and if he comes back with a piece of silverware then ill shout him a bondi beer for once

Nice win by a very classy mare,,,,makes you wonder if they had ridden her like this earlier in her career what she might have won....thought Beasely missed the boat a few times with her..
Sirmione was a good run..got checked at a vital time that might have cost him a real go at Tuesday Joy...
