Hey Guys. Been a while!

I have been turning myself inside out trying to find more detailed form on the guineas to no avail. Driving me a little insane, you can get real form on the noms in the cup for months in advance. Not asking if anyone knows where there is any, although if you do feel free to share, lol.

I am after the early speed. I was trying to find anything that gives some clues on where they were during the race to give me an idea if some of those outside barrier guys had the early speed to overcome the hinderance of sitting 1 barrier short of timbuktu.

Anyone know which horses get a good jump in the field? This includes Fernandina who appears to be blessed by the racing gods.

Thanks all.

Can't help you with info Mate unless you want the confirmed field? but thats everywhere now.

Reckon Whobegotyou has to make a mistake to lose this really, but i'm a big fan of Dreamscape and'll be on that i think.

Hi Lady Frisco ,,has been awhile,,,seemd you joined your horse in retirement :)

Doesnt look a stack of speed on paper ,, Tindal , fernindina , timethief the likely go forward types..
Rockdale ran on ok from the back last time (as per instructions apparently ?) so they'll do the same again ..
Whobegotyou does look hard to beat but i'm not keen on the 3.50 ,,i'm not discounting Von coasta yet,,i didnt mind his last run ...

Looking towards the Derby i dont mind the look of Larry's Never late ,,bred to keep on keeping on..

If there's a bit of rain Rockdale's is witha great show, it's first run in Melbourne wasn't horrid though it does look that way on paper, and it's improved in it's 2nd to get 4th last weekend, definitly something to keep an eye on.

Obviously with dreamscape - the querey is running in the opposite direction, while its plus is that Gai does have a habit of making a horse peak at the right time (then imo, overraces them straight into retirement).

Add a bit of rain and that changes the field - although dreamscape has done it on a slow too so that really stuck out.

Looking towards the Derby i dont mind the look of Larry's Never late ,,bred to keep on keeping on..Hey Mav. Yeah, I was awol for some time there, lol. We moved up the coast and Lady was being rather iffily managed so we had to get out. The Majority owner took some pretty bold action after that and while she did win another race, there was just not much of her left. She would have been a real class horse with just one decent trainer.

Anyway, yeah - I think Tindal was the one with the biggest question mark. No horse has won the guineas from barrier 16, but from what I have heard, Tindal has blinding early speed and tends to lead the way to the line. But the only races he has done this in end at listed. Massive step up in class. Although, it could still surprise and it wouldnt be the first time thats happened in a big race - although usually the surprise is the odds on favourite running like a 3 legged dog (see: Turnbull).

I havent even gotten into thinking about the derby yet, lol. I really should. But I reckon Pompeii is being raced to peak on tuesday the 4th at Flemington! :D

Hi Lady,

Check out racenet.com.au for in-race positioning. They give a fairly comprehensive indication of where the horse ran in a race in the general comments.
