If you bet the top 4 of the free propun ratings and add 1 to the number of horses and accept that as your minimum acceptable price you would have to be in front yearly.

I would throw out the really short priced horses in the top 4 ratings and take the next 1 down ( i.e The 5th rated )

Short priced would be those odds on up to $3.00 ( especially in the last 4 races )

In general Fav backers should go home after race 4

Absolutely agree,

I have on many occasions patiently waited for the last race of the day where my carefully selected comodity sat as the fave. And it runs nowhere ....... so frustrating , they do seam to win , as a general observation more in the first 4 races.

It would be interesting to see if this actually holds up with someone actually testing it, I have also found that general observations arent worth much unless supported by proper analysis :)

I had those stats and they stood up .

The analyst was Paul Segar based in Melb I believe.

Malcolm Knowles or Dan Osullivan would have the stats at their finger tips .

Just ask them .I found them both to me most helpful.
