howdy

Does anybody know of any reliable software for back-testing systems? Sort of like I do with my mechanical trading systems when trading the stock market.

On that same note, is there also a reliable supplier of accurate historic race data?

I think it might be an interesting exercise to back-test some systems and see what delivers.

cheers

GTX is another & it comes at a premium that one may have to try & justify.

It would have to be the best in the world along with its own pre-post market similar to the newspapers.

Cheers.

Bet Selector software also has system testing.

Unfortunately the issue with any system testing is limited to the factors that are programed, meaning that you cant test anything outside the square if you like.

However most of these mentioned here will do the job depends how much money you want to spend, GTX is $999 just for the testing module and you have to buy the actuall software and then past data .......
Bet Selector is around $1200 complete but you also have to purchase past data to create a database. While there are cheep options from Cyberhorse its still atleast $400 for 2 years worth of data but you also get one year forward so realy you get 3 years.

There is also South coast database ...... which I know nothing about.
