I have Hawthorn winning 2, Port Adelaide winning 2, Sydney winning 2 & Essendon winning 0.

Which means Port Adelaide still makes the finals! However Hawthorn could just as easily win 3 & Port and Sydney only win 1 each which would mean the Hawks make the finals.

Well, I wouldn't hear it from anywhere where people were posting aiming to make logical sense. The way I see it neither Essendon or Hawthorn deserve to be in the finals. How can a club deserve to be in the finals and compete for the right to be called the premiers of that year when they cant even win 50% of their games?

agree totally marcus.... they should change it to the top 7 this year!!
In saying that, as a crow supporter, 5th spot looks good to be up against one of them in the first week of finals..
