Hi all,

Just a bit of a question here. Does anyone use any online formguide sites that you can copy and paste onto Excel. And from there of course, play around with various formulas to do things with certain aspects of the form.

Just wondering if this can be done, and which sites are the best to use.

Probably better if you use a Web Query and slap the data straight into your sheet without muckin' around with cuttin' an' pastin'

It can be done, I do it, but I still lose just the same :(

thanks Moeee,

Can you just expand on that a bit more please. How do you do a web query, and which form site would you consider best.

Thanks again,

Paul

I wear slippers because I still have problems tying shoelaces.

Only suggestion I can give you is to ask Google.
Thats what I do , and usually it has the answer, or will send you to some page that has.
There are heaps of Tutorials on the Internet.
SEEK and you shall FIND.
I never used to do Web Queries, and still don't, except for the one what gives me the data for the program that I use.
If I need to, I SEEK again to refresh my aging memory.

Web Queries is part of the EXCEL Program, and probably heaps of other Programs, but EXCEL is the one I use.

I play Greyhounds and get my information from the GRV wesite.
I'm sure it won't be long before somebody posts websites suitable for you.

Hi All,

Here is a basic web query that grabs results from S-TAB for Casino today and the prices for a race at Sunshine Coast.

Not sure if I am doing anything contrary to the rules of the websites (here or the TAB's) so will leave it to the mods to determine if the spreadsheet should be deleted.

I use web queries a lot on the weekend and have even attached some buttons to mine to automate the race selection process and the update function, but I don't share these files in case it is a breach.

Hope this helps anyway. It should get you started.
