This is a doubles betting system with place bets as complimentary ‘savers’.

The system was put together with Dogs in mind however would also be usable with Horses.

Runners are ranked in approximate order of tote starting price. This can be done fairly accurately for the first leg but not so much of the 2nd leg. (Time travel issues)

The idea is that two doubles bets and a place bet are placed initially.

2 runners in the 1st leg/5 runners in the 2nd leg
5 runners in the 1st leg/2 runners in the 2nd leg
A place bet on the 3rd ranked runner is also placed on the race (1st leg).
Total Bet Cost at this point is $15 at the units indicated in the attached table.

Any further bets are dependent on the result of Race 1 (the 1st leg).

8 potential scenarios exist as seen in the table. Any further bet (5 out of the 8 scenarios) is a place bet on specific ranked dogs at a specific price which is meant to act as a ‘saver’. The price to the right of each scenario is the initial $15 plus the cost of the 2nd leg Place bet.

Also interested in any comments in relation to the overall structure.

Thanks

Hi DKEL1 interesting, my only thought would be do away with the place bet and have more combination with the Doubles. The place bet is not going to get your money back.

Cheers
