Entries close Saturday, 12.30pm, Sydney time.
The meetings you can make your selection from are:
Belmont
Doomben
Gold Coast
Mornington
Morphettville
Newcastle
Randwick
Toowoomba
Unfortunately we couldn't include tonight's big meeting at Moonee Valley as it's best that all the races are held on the same day and all entries are made before the first race we are using in the competition starts.
Please make sure you know the rules before you make a tip in this thread.
Tip a Winner Competition - Cash Prizes <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
This competition is fun and free to enter each week. All you do is tip a winner from Saturday's races. The person who tips the winner at the best odds wins and we'll give the winner a $50 cash prize. So read on ...
1. Each Friday morning we will tell you the race meetings held on Saturday from where you can tip your winner and let you know the competition's closing time for the final post.
2. Each person is allowed to tip one horse for the win. When you tip your horse give:
a) The race meeting.
b) The TAB number and Race number of your horse.
c) The name of your horse.
Example:
Randwick
Race 7
Number 1
Melito.
You should ensure that you correctly post the details of a), b) and c) above such as the correct race meeting. For example, if the meeting is at Randwick you should post Randwick, NOT Rosehill. If you post Rosehill then your entry is null and void.
Each person's tip is all in, meaning should your horse be scratched after you tipped it you do not get a second tip. That's only fair because the moment you tip a horse means that noone else is allowed to tip that same horse.
3. As you are not allowed to tip the same horse as someone else make sure noone else has tipped the horse you are about to tip before you post it. It's also best to refresh the page after you posted just in case someone else posted the same tip while you were typing it up. If you find out you've tipped the same horse as someone else who tipped it before you then you can make a new post before the competition's closing time.
4. In your new post, where you tip a different horse, you will also need to tell us the number of your previous post (every post in the thread will have a different number) and the user name and number of the post that tipped the same horse before you posted. This post will have a lower number.
5. You are not allowed to tip a different horse just because you've changed your mind.
6. Posts with an edited message at the bottom are not accepted so do not edit your post after it has already been posted by you.
7. The person whose horse wins at the best odds as published on the Sportsbet Australia web site is the winner. If two or more people tie then the prize will be shared. If there are no winners the prize will jackpot to the next week the competition is held.
8. Each week the winner will be posted in that week's tipping thread by the following Friday. We'll aim to make this early in the week. Usually a Monday or Tuesday. We'll also allow 24 hours before we declare correct weight, just in case there's a protest by someone who thinks they should be declared the winner because we may have made a clerical error. <!-- / message -->
