To enter our forum Derby tipping competitions all you do is write down in order the horses you think will finish from first to sixth in the Derby and post them in this thread. Use a new line for each horse. Each person's tips are all in, meaning should one of the horses you write down be scratched after you tipped it you do not get another tip. Posts with an edited message at the bottom are not accepted so do not edit your post after it has already been posted by you.
If an entry is too similar to an earlier entry in the opinion of Management, then Management has the right to declare the later entry null and void. Decisions of Management will be final.

There is a cash prize of $50 for the winner. How do we decide the winner?
Each person’s top selection will be their highest selection after any scratchings of their selections.
If two or more people have the winner as their top selection then we will have a countback. We will look at each person’s second selection after any scratchings of their selections. The person whose second selection finished in the best position will be the winner.
If there is a tie here then we’ll look at the third selections. Note that if an entry is too similar to an earlier entry in the opinion of Management, then Management has the right to declare the later entry null and void. Decisions of Management will be final.

Boxing the Derby First Four Competition - Cash Prize
There is a cash prize of $50 for the winner. How do we decide the winner?
Each person’s top five selections after any scratchings of their selections will be used for a Box Five First Four.
If two or more people have the First Four in their top five selections then we will have a countback. The winner will be the person who rated the most horses that made the First Four in their Top Four. If there is still a tie the winner will then be the person who rated the most horses that made the First Four in their correct finishing positions. If this still can’t split the entries, then the prize will be shared. Note that if an entry is too similar to an earlier entry in the opinion of Management, then Management has the right to declare the later entry null and void. Decisions of Management will be final.

When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be posted in this thread by the following Friday after the Derby. We'll aim to make this early in the week. Usually a Monday or Tuesday. We'll also allow 24 hours before we declare correct weight, just in case there's a protest by someone who thinks they should be declared the winner because we may have made a clerical error.
Claiming your $50 cash prize
Go to http://www.propun.com.au/contact/ (http://www.propun.com.au/contact/) and send an e-mail with the subject "Tipping the Derby Winner Competition" or "Tipping the Derby First Four Competition" to Neil no later than 7 days after being announced the weekly winner in this Forum thread following correct weight. Due to administration reasons we regret that claims e-mailed more than 7 days after being announced the winner are null and void.
Provide the following details.
1. Your Forum User Name.
