Entries are now open for our forum Melbourne Cup running double tipping competition and close on Tuesday 5 minutes before the official starting time of the Cup.
To enter the Melbourne Cup running double tipping competition all you do is write down in order two horses for R7 the Melbourne Cup and one horse for R8.
Use a new line for each horse.
By tipping early you have the advantage of locking in your selection in R8 with your two selections from the Cup. However there is also a downside. Each person's tips are all in, meaning should one of the horses you write down be scratched after you tipped it you do not get another tip.
Posts with an edited message at the bottom are not accepted so do not edit your post after it has already been posted by you.
If a running double is identical to an earlier entry posted then Management will declare the later posted running double combination null and void. Decisions of Management will be final.

There is a cash prize of $50 for the winner.

When will the winner be announced?
The winner will be posted in this thread by the following Friday after the Cup. We'll aim to make this as soon as possible, probably Wednesday morning. We'll also allow 24 hours before we declare correct weight, just in case there's a protest by someone who thinks they should be declared the winner because we may have made a clerical error.
Claiming your $50 cash prize
Go to http://www.propun.com.au/contact/ (http://www.propun.com.au/contact/) and send an e-mail with the subject "Melbourne Cup Running Double Competition" to Neil no later than 7 days after being announced the weekly winner in this Forum thread following correct weight. Due to administration reasons we regret that claims e-mailed more than 7 days after being announced the winner are null and void.
Provide the following details.
1. Your Forum User Name.
2. Your registered working Forum e-mail address. If you have forgotten or need to update your address go to http://www.propun.com.au/racing_forums/ (http://www.propun.com.au/racing_forums/) and after you are logged in with your Forum User Name and Password go to User CP at top left.
