r quinn was in a horrible slump last year then got hot for a bit and now he might be going backwards again. only time i really give him a look is when hes on a hawkes horse or gh walters might give him a go.

Yep its always a jockey's fault when a horse loses. Merensky Reef walked in front. That was the biggest problem not the jockey.

There are some riders which I refuse to put my money on no matter how good the form of the horse.
It's just like at Bathurst V8's....we don't want an unskilled or incompetent driver in control of our $M racing machine!

The slow pace of the race set up by O'Hara bought a couple undone. A good ride by her - I backed Merensky Reef substantially - and she almost stole it.

Once the Jockey, Two the track, three the run wasn't there, four the race wan't set up for it..etc etc etc,..it may just be the horse. Jockeys are noting but fluff on the hind of the 500kg bullet. Good rides vs good horse performance...thinking aroun 1:10....
