Hi just opened...finally a betfair account.
can someone please steer me in the right direction regarding betfair bots.
what I would like to do is if my horses/selections are 1st or 2nd fav within a certain price can they automatically place the bet?
So in the morning I work out my selections, punch them in the program with the criteria as above, forget about them for the day & check them in the evening and see which ones made the cut & were bet, is that possible?
I only want to back them at this stage don't know much about laying and what's a good bot to achieve this? (user friendly for simpletons)
cheers

It sounds like lay bot pro is what you're after.
I don't use it, but Mark does from this forum.
They offer a free trial for 48 hours, so test it out and see what you think.
I'm not endorsing it, as I don't use it myself, but I've heard good reports and it sounds like it's what you need from your post.

Theres also betbotpro which is by the same people I believe. Like Chrome, I have not used it before, but am considering having a go with it in teh new year. It seems to do exactly what you are after from the details on the site.

Cheers guys
Chrome the one you suggested is more for laying horses & thorns I emailed the betbotpro but lucked out it doesn't do what I hoped it could.
Thanks for input I'll keep looking or try & just have price limits.

The "extra scenerio's" function in BetBotPro v4 might do what you want. I use it for some stuff, as does Mark, but we've both had some interesting experiences with it. I think it has an "unfinished" feel, and is starting to suffer from having a few too many "things" tacked on. Like all these things it's a tool, not a solution ;)
There is also BFBotManager, which looks (and appears to work) *MUCH* nicer.

Just tried the very latest update of BetBotPro v4.211209 and amazingly it has bug that causes it not to place user selected bets.
Wouldn't recommend this software to anybody I'm afraid. A bot that doesn't place bets ... go figure that one.
