Hello.
I am new to this forum and have a question. Has anyone had any experience with XXXXXXX They seem to quote some big returns over 13 weeks so I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had anything to do with them.

Thanks

Sorry, but we are not providing free promotion and free hits from our high traffic site to a new competitor website which claims
'Standout' subscription periods finalised 02/11/02 with +944.50% return and 09/11/02 with +1,064.38% return. Subscribe now to follow the 'Prophet of Profit' to make money out of punting!"
If they want hits on their site they will have to pay for advertising, not get it free here.
Management.

PS We always find it suspicious when one of the first posts from a new forum user is asking questions about and linking to an obscure website.

Who is standing behind the product? Not a name to be found anywhere on the site.

It is stated "We can not recommend where to get the best prices" (Govt. regulations)
Well, Pro-Punter are in big trouble. Instead the prices given out by Radio 4TAB on Saturday mornings are used "for consistency". Good grief!!

On 9/11 the winner Majestic Fiesta is given as 'Magic Fiesta' and the price obtained 9/2 whereas the the top fluctuation was 4/1.

The "key" to the claimed success is the much heralded staking plan. But it is not their staking plan but one that belongs to a "Sydney Pro of thirty years standing". Oh please, pull the other one it plays 'Here come the clowns'.

I could go on but it's your $260 bucks. Good luck.

Dr Pangloss,

Actually it is $500 (that is per quarter!). In order to subscribe to the $260 win bet option you must first pay $240 for their exotics selection. They do have a guarantee but it only applies to the $260 deal - so if the system does fail and they do honor their money back guarantee you still only get back half of what you gave them.

The other thing I found interesting was in their "FAQ" section they had the "Why sell it if it works?" type question. Their answer was along the lines of they felt they could make more money from selling it than using it themselves - speaks volumes for their confidence in the potential results!

Lets say it cost them $10,000 to set up the company, get the website built, ecommerce setup, etc (a very conservative estimate). Based on the results claimed on the website if they had invested that $10,000 in a betting account and followed their system they would have had over $100,000 in profit in last 13 weeks. For the next 13 weeks they could then expect a minimum of $55,000 profit (based on their 50% claim) but if they managed to reproduce the last 13 weeks results (1000% profit) they would make a whopping $1,100,000 in the next 3 months. (Assuming, of course, they reinvested all winnings - even if they took some out they would still be looking at a pretty good return).

hear hear be careful

it makes you laugh out loud and these scamsters are almost always from the Gold Coast. What is in the air up there?

I think our forum hosts should do a number on this lot under the scams section. Better still, if some one is fool enough to tout their services through the forum back door then the forum participants ought to feel free to put the touts system through the wringer. They are always short on facts.

I was absolutely dismayed to read managements reply to my post. I am in no way linked with the product I enquired about. What happened to giving someone the benefit of the doubt. I am new to racing, it is merely a recreational hobby and all I wanted was some feedback. Naive obviously.

Winnie,

Welcome to the forum. Please understand that the management of the forum is running their own commercial operation and provides this forum free of charge for us punters to exchange views and tips and debate various subjects. In order to do this they impose some reasonable conditions of use, one of which is that the forum is not to be used to promote competitors websites (at least not without the approval of the management). In the past some people have placed posts like yours and have later been shown to be the owners of the website they were asking questions about - basically using this forum to get free advertising for their site. You cant blame the management for wanting to stop this practice.

With regards to feedback I think the comments Dr Pangloss and I posted are relevant to your initial question. Some things to be wary of when looking at these types of systems:

1. Beware of buying anything from a website that does not have a contact phone number listed. If they are genuine they should not mind you ringing them up to discuss the system. I couldn't find a phone number anywhere on the site you mentioned.
2. Beware of sites promising huge returns or claiming things like "we have never had a losing week/month" but who want you to make a large payment up front.
3. If they offer guarantees are they worth anything? Will you be able to get your money back if it doesn't work or is the guarantee so vaguely worded that it is useless? The guarantee for the one you mentioned is based on it not making a certain profit using the morning prices as per the radio broadcast - you may never be able to get that price in the betting ring - surely they should use the offical SP or TF price or one of the TAB dividends. Also remember that it can be hard to get your money back if all you have is a PO box number and no phone number (particularly from PO boxes on the Gold Coast if the experiences of other posters on this forum are anything to go by!!).
4. The question to ask yourself before spending any money is "Does it sound too good to be true?" or "If it is that good why are they selling it?". As per my example in the previous post based on their claimed returns they could have already made over $100,000 in profit simply by using the system themselves for the last three months with a starting bank of $10,000. Now if I had a system that did that I certainly wouldn't be selling it for a few hundred dollars.

I suggest you have a look around this site and read the various articles available. Also look through the back issues of the "Punt to Win" newsletter and, of course, the forums here. There is a lot of good information that should help you get started and there are many regular contributors to the forum who wont mind answering any questions you have (just stick within the Terms of Use!)

Here`s a site that has a number of Gold Coast scam systems & comlaints

http://www.zip.com.au/~keeva/grq/forum/

The majority of the $5000+ scamsters ,come from the address of either Cavill or Orchard Av. Gold Coast ,these 2 streets just happen to join one another & it is beleived that the same directors run the same product under different names each time they get too much bad publicity .One of the convicted repeat offenders from the said address was Larry Pickering , relatives & family , this was shown on one of the current affairs programs where he was sitting on this very expensive boat saying all you have to do is spend the rest on the day out on your boat after you have layed all your bets for the day .What a joke!

So it`s imperative that we help in any small way to expose any rogues ,for what they are.

It appears the state laws in Qld are very tame ,so they seem to get away with it .

I have been told, that the rogues are given an official warning , this gives the scamster the time to keep on going , only this time use a different brand name.
