Heres a simple plan that seems to jag the odd big payer & a bunch of medium priced payers.

As you probably have noticed, is how often Favs fall over in small fields & they are usually over bet which blows the value of all the others out to some great odds.

1)Field 5-8 runners only. 7 days a week.
2)Distance 1100-3600 metres
3)Finised 9th or worse last start.(Includes resumers)
4)Must have won or placed at track .
5)Must have won or placed at the distance.
6)If 1 or more selections , back them all at level stakes.
7)Bank should be $1 for evert $70 , level stakes betting.

Averages 50 bets a month.

19% SR
100%+ POT

Hi Bhagwan,

I always enjoy your contributions to this forum,as they are always interesting and thought provoking. As I was interested in your suggestions above,I decided to test your rules in Price Predictor.I stress that my database only runs from the 2nd July 2002,and I ran it until last Saturday, which is the latest date results are available to go into PPPro.On the initial run,the result was :-
18/137
S/R=13.2%
Outlay 170
Return 96.1
Loss 73.90
% Loss 43.5%
In this result there were 13 selections for which there are no results in the program,so there could be some more winners in there.
Knowing that a method with so few rules can be improved in PPPro,I did some further analysis. There was one Hurdle winner in the initial results,so I deleted that,as I never invest in Jump races.

My final result was :-
17/39
S/R 43.6%
Outlay 45
Return 92.90
Profit 47.90
POT 106.4%

If you are interested,I can send you both sets of results if yousupply an email address.
Cheers,Yubet

Thanks for your input Yubet it`s appreciated.

Try running your results with the track & distance box ticked with the course box left unticked , then run.

Then visa versa , you will end up with a lot more selections.

Thanks for your input to refine the rules , please send to
bhk@bigpond.net.au

or place your rules on this site for every one to check it out .

You will find most punters wont follow a plan that only producers a few selections a month for some reason ,even though it shows a profit , strange as it sounds.

hi bhagwan i take it the resarch means eight starters after scratchings there would be some small discrepancies because of late scratchings ( i mean if you want to put your bets on in one go in the morning ) the reserch would have shown 5-8 starters at the jump ..... not being picky just establishing something ......i need to ask a q regarding these programmes that everyone uses to run these systems through there paces but i will ask only if i get a reply to this post so i know someones listening

5-8 starters at the jump.

That`s why we use the term starters ,because they start.
You can`t call anything a starter if it`s not starting.

I`m intregied as to why anyone would say "I won`t ask a question unless I get a reply."

One could also say ,"I refuse to give an answer unless I get a question".

i said that because i wasnt sure whether this thread had run its course or not thats all . The question was regarding the data base setup with price predictor and the like ..do you access a data base for info or do you have to build your own . ie if i wanted to find all horses in todays fields that have a 20%+ win strike and have started within the last 10 days would i have to download todays fields or could i acess a common database through the web

Dear Nevets, try http://www.capitalinfo.com.au for information regarding price predictor pro. Also, http://www.trb.com.au has a far superior program but to purchase their data is expensive.

Nevets, you can buy back data for PP @
50 cents/meeting which is expensive and fiddly to download. Otherwise accumulate.
