Tip a Winner Competition - Cash Prizes
This competition is fun and free to enter each week. All you do is tip a winner from Saturday's races. The person who tips the winner at the best odds of $5.00 or better as published on the Sportsbet Australia (http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/__BBFWysCs1Wu11z-n_bVh2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1) web site wins and we'll give the winner a cash prize up to $200 based on the number of valid entries in this competition. So read on ...
The winner will receive a cash prize of
$50 - for up to 29 valid entries.
$100 - for 30 to 59 valid entries.
$200 - for 60 or more valid entries.
BIG DOLLARS CASH PRIZE BONUS
$1,000s dollars cash prizes up for grabs!
This is how it works.
1. When you win Tip a Winner with a first prize that is above will give you the option when we declare "correct weight" for you to choose not to collect your cash prize but instead go all up to win 20 times that amount in the following week's Tip a Winner competition for outright first. (Pro-rata amounts if there is a tie for first apply of course.)
For example, if your prize was $100 cash you can choose not to collect that $100 and instead play for a $2,000 cash first prize in the following week's Tip a Winner competition.
If your cash prize is $100 or $200 you can also take an each way option by choosing to collect half the cash prize and with the other half playing to win 20 times that amount in the following week's Tip a Winner competition for outright first. (Pro-rata amounts if there is a tie for first apply.)
2. Should your cash prize include one of the three cash prize bonuses below we will offer you an each way option as the Big Dollars Cash Prize Bonus. You can collect half your cash prize and with the other half play to win 20 times that amount in the following week's Tip a Winner competition for outright first. (Pro-rata amounts if there is a tie for first apply.)
The $350 cash prize bonus
If this week's Box a Trifecta competition winner wins Tip a Winner next week then the cash prize will be increased by $350!
The $150 cash prize bonus
If you tip a winning horse at odds of $10.00 or better the previous week, but did not win that week's Tip a Winner, if you win this week the cash prize you receive will be increased by $150!
The $100 place cash prize bonus
If you tip a horse that places and pays a place dividend of $10.00 or better the previous week, if you win this week the cash prize you receive will be increased by $100!
The $50 instant cash consolation prize
We will give you a consolation cash prize of $50 if you tip a horse that wins at $20.00 or better and it is not the winning entry. Plus of course you will also be eligible for the $150 cash prize bonus the next week!

THE TIPPING RULES
Entries close on Saturday at 12.30 pm. Sydney time. Only TIP FROM RACES that have an official starting time AFTER 12.30 pm. SYDNEY TIME.
The meetings you can tip from are:
Ascot
Doomben
Flemington
Gold Coast
Morphettville
Newcastle
Rosehill
Toowoomba
Traralgon
Please make sure you know the rules before you make a tip in this thread.
1. Each Thursday we will tell you the race meetings held on Saturday from where you can tip your winner and let you know the competition's closing time for the final post.
2. Each person is allowed to tip two horses for the win. When you tip each horse give:
a) The race meeting.
b) The TAB number and Race number of your horse.
c) The name of your horse.
Example:
Randwick
Race 7
Number 1
Melito.
You should ensure that you correctly post the details of a), b) and c) above such as the correct race meeting. For example, if the meeting is at Randwick you should post Sydney or Randwick, NOT Rosehill. If you post Rosehill then your entry is null and void.
3. Each person's tips are all in, meaning should a horse be scratched after you tipped it you do not get another tip. That's only fair because the moment you tip a horse means that noone else is allowed to tip that same horse.
DO NOT DELETE OR EDIT YOUR POST
4. We need transparency with everyone entering being able to read what has been posted. You will be disqualified if you alter your post once it is posted (it will then have an edited message) or delete your first post after you have posted it (we will see a post deleted message) and make a new post.
5. Leave your old post as it is and make a new post before the competition's closing time if you find out you've accidentally tipped the same horse as someone else who tipped it before you. It's also best to refresh the page after you posted just in case someone else posted the same tip while you were typing it up. In your new post, where you tip a different horse, you will need to tell us:
a) The number of your previous post (every post in the thread will have a different number)
b) The user name and number of the post that tipped the same horse before you posted. This post will have a lower number.
c) If you do not provide this information your new post will not be accepted.
6. Leave your old post as it is and make a new post before the competition's closing time if you find out you've accidentally posted your Box a Trifecta selections instead of your Tip a Winner sections in this thread. In your new post, you will need to tell us:
a) The number of your previous post (every post in the thread will have a different number)
b) Why you are reposting.
c) If you do not provide this additional information your new post will not be accepted.
6. You are not allowed to tip a different horse because you've changed your mind or your horse has been scratched.
7. The person whose horse wins at best odds of $5.00 or better as published on the Sportsbet Australia web site is the winner. Click here (http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/__BBFWysCs1WhJjIwNC_yVWNd7ZgqdRLk/1/results/racing/Date/today) for the results page. If two or more people tie then the prize will be shared.
8. Each week the winner will be posted in that week's tipping thread by the following Friday - usually on a Monday. We'll also allow 24 hours before we declare correct weight, just in case there's a protest by someone who thinks they should be declared the winner because we may have made a clerical error.
9. As a condition of entering this competition you accept that decisions of Management are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
When your win has been confirmed by us declaring correct weight:
1. Please let everyone know in that Tip a Winner thread no later than midnight Wednesday, Sydney time if you are playing in the next Tip a Winner competition for the Big Dollars Cash Prize Bonus.
2. You will also need to confirm this by clicking here (http://www.propun.com.au/contact/) and sending an e-mail to Neil with the subject "Tip a Winner Competition Cash Bonus" no later than midnight Wednesday, Sydney time and telling us you are playing for the Big Dollars Cash Prize Bonus in the e-mail.
3. If you are in a two way tie for first in Tip a Winner you are also eligible to play for the Big Dollars Cash Prize Bonus on a pro-rata basis. Please follow the same procedure outlined above to notify us.
Please note: Cash prizes will only be deposited in a Sportsbet Australia, (http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/__BBFWysCs1Wu11z-n_bVh2Nd7ZgqdRLk/1) IASbet.com (http://record.iasbetaffiliates.com/_sI0vPiEc8mvCHvdJPdAX9GNd7ZgqdRLk/1/) or Sportingbet Australia (http://www.sportingbet.com.au/partners.asp?btag=a_4b_464) bookmaker account as in addition to rewarding the best winning tip we are also promoting these businesses.

Thanks wildchild. I didn't see anything in his breeding to suggest Whitefriars couldn't handle the wet (by Arena out of a Marauding mare). He'd only had one run (unplaced) on a slow or worse track but that was old form. He's in career-best form this campaign since being gelded.
PS. I don't want to go the early crow - there are still a few selections to come in late races from Perth!

It was a tough day for tipping in this competition. Makybe Diva tipped Emition $2.80 at the Gold Coast (the odds must have come right in from Friday morning) and Bazzao52 tipped Welkom Gold $6.60 at Rosehill.
Foxseal, after winning the comp last week, tipped the runner up in the Victoria Derby, Praecido which paid $5.10 for the place. (Post 15.) BePe tipped Response which ran third in R8 at Flemington and paid $5.30 for the place. (Post 26.) But BePe's other tip, also in the same race, was the $18.00 winner, Whitefriars. Congratulations.
BePe wins $50 cash and now can go all up and play for
The $1,000 cash prize bonus
BePe now has two options.
1. Collect the $50 cash.
2. Go all up to play to collect $1,000 cash first prize in the Melbourne Cup Day Tip a Winner competition.
1. Please make a post here no later than midday Monday, Sydney time letting everyone know if you are playing in the Melbourne Cup Day Tip a Winner competition to win $1,000 cash or have decided to instead collect your $50 cash prize.
2. You will also need to confirm that you have chosen to play for $1,000 on Cup Day by clicking here (http://www.propun.com.au/contact/) and sending an e-mail to Neil with the subject "Melbourne Cup Day Tip a Winner Competition $1,000 bonus" no later than midday Monday, Sydney time and telling us you are playing for the $1,000 cash prize bonus in the e-mail.
3. To claim your $50 cash prize please click here. (http://www.propun.com.au/tip_a_winner.html)
Please note this needs to be done in the next 7 days, as mentioned in Post 2 of this thread.
Good luck if you decide to have a go for the $1,000 on Cup Day.
