When I cut and paste the neural scores from the R+S site into excel they come up with a border around them and the formulas I have elsewhere on the sheet that use the neural scores wont work, can someone help me please?

Hi Dr Ron,.....I know for a fact that the R&S site uses extra spacings and things like that, before their numbers, which tosses all your formulas out. Hence your formulas cant and wont read them properly, they'll keep coming up as ERROR.
I know there are excel experts on this forum site, that can get around all this, but to me,,..its just a pain. Other sites copy and paste easy.
Good luck, Paul

Thanks Paul, hopefully someone will save me from having to put all the figures in manually.

Hi Shaun,
I think this is what Dr Ron is trying to copy and paste.
http://www.racingandsports.com.au/form-guide/
when you open this page up, you have to select a meeting, for example today, Geelong, then click on that second lil icon on the right that looks like a cog.

Why not just import them all, is this the sort of data you need.

Thanks ixlat0, but that only comes up with the total score, I actually need each individual score as I convert the scores from each column to try and standardise them and then use a certain percentage of that score depending on the race distance, hope this makes sense. Shaun , if you can tell me how to just get the bottom table i would be grateful.

I will make you up a simple sheet you can use to get the info, will also provide some intructions.

Try this out tell me if it suits your needs, the import could be automated but would need more work.

Thanks Shaun seems ideal for what i want, however the problem is it seems to import extra horses for each race, for example caulfield race 1 it imported all the race 1 runners plus another 10 or 11 from somewhere else. Also if you could enable the sheet to be able to reproduce the formulas that i put in it to each new race sheet thta is produced if that is possible that is. Dont enough excel to know if that is possible. Thanks again for your efforts.

Ok fixed that issue, it was not clearing old data should be ok now.
The formula problem is more difficult because it only copies values and to copy formula you have the issue of the name ranges and formula references.
unless you need to update the sheet putting the formulas you need on the main sheet to do all your calcs is the best option then the final result will be copied to a separate sheet.
