Fully agree with you. The best conditions for betting are Good or Heavy.

so if having a punt on dead track is "slow" track form a consideration?

what i meant is "slow" track form the best indicator if having a bet on a "dead" track meet?

With "dead " track conditions parts of the track are slow -heavy in other parts and good in other parts causing horses to slip and slide all over the place.

You can use slow as a indicator on whether the horse can handle dead tracks.

Generally speaking though as Wesmip pointed out the best conditions to bet on are good and heavy.

If you can stay out of it then don't bet on dead or slow tracks at all. as darky said the track conditions are in between and how do you know if your horse is going to run on the good part of the track. Dead tracks tend to have more bias to certain areas, lanes and makes the race more of a lottery.
