Mickey Rooney used to only back horses running from Barrier 1 or 2, o so the story goes, and he was supposed to have made a forune.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>

Roy Higgins was quoted as saying he’d take barrier 1 any day, even if it was the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Melbourne</st1:place></st1:City> to Warrnambool bike race.

<o:p> </o:p>

Caulfield barrier 1 seems to do OK.

If you want to make a small fortune in racing you need to

1. Be dedicated to it.
2. Be prepared for setbacks and adjust accordingly.

Thats all their is to it. If you are dedicated to anything you will soon make money from it whether it be horse racing, share trading, marketing, etc. You will hit setbacks but you will eventaully succeed.

As a rough guide I would say you need to spend 4+ hours a day on racing. Either reading the form, watching videos, doing system tests, etc. What ever your angle is you need to be doing it 4+ hours a day solid. That would be the minimum. It will then take you 1 year + to get the experience to successfully gamble on horses (or your chosen sport).

Hard work is the best way...

Or find someone who does it and piggyback on their tips.

I know which is easier but I also know which is more enjoyable.

I piggyback on the Don Scott ratings at R+S with particular attention to those at asessed prices of odds on.
