just looking at the new readbet site great offers on the site etc but the one thing he still refuses to do is bet best of 3 totes on country and provincial the run of the mill meetings i'm talking about betezy does tom waterhouse does etc betting middle tote as he's still offering on these venues would be one of the worse ways to accept a dividend when youv'e just backed a winner maybe some of the offers may offset this???
cheers

Just another waste of betting space, i will be honest as say if you can't win using TAB odds then you are going to find at hard to win at all.
Betfair are the only other option for bets in the country as all the bookies are just smoke and mirrors, they claim to offer this and that and you see all these sign up bonuses that are designed to attract more losers because as soon as you take some cash from them they restrict you to the point that it is a waste of time to bet with them.

a survey done on another forum no longer in use sadly showed these were the best div's in order from memory don't qoute me but in think it was all horses races in victoria that had an s/p of less than <$11.0 problem was it didn't say what years or for how long the survey was for (order was this)
1=betfair
2=best of 3 totes +top-fluc(was limited data at that stage)
3=best of 3 totes +s/p
4=top fluc
5= best of 3 totes
6=best of vic + nsw tote(sportsbet do this)
7=any individual tote vic-nsw-uni
8=best of 2 totes
he actually qouted the advantages but i don't have the original email just wrote it down on a piece of paper one thing that was wopping was the difference between betfair and best of two totes can't remember the exact % pity the survey didn't say for how long was around august 2010 was the post a mate of mine who was a member emailed it to me again i qoute they are not my figures but they seem to be in the right order ???

Please don't forget that Readbet is offering Discount Bet (http://record.commissionmate.com/_uAsFg0X5kIkWqcfzuvZcQGNd7ZgqdRLk/1/help/OddsService.aspx#01) - where punters are guaranteed a collect on every racing bet they make. This is a Racing Product that no other bookie is currently offering.
This is what competition is all about.
As punters you might open more than one bookmaking account and make wagers with different bookies when what one bookie offers different to another best meets your betting needs.

hi neil
i certainly agree the discount return on all losing bets is nothing ever offered by any bookie or tote as i said in my first post when betting country or provincial with readbet you have only two options best of two totes or fixed odds every person will have to way up whether the discount outweighs those two options for themselves i guess?

For smost bettors the bookies have their place and will provide better then the totes and offer a few incentives. This is great if your not a winning punter and you don't bet big.
If you start to want to get on large amounts or you bet consistently and win then there are only 2 options for you. The first is the tote. The best way to do this is to bet the same amount split on as many totes as you can. You will not get the best odds but you won't get the worst odds. You will end up somewhere in between.
The other option is betfair. This is great for horses which are in the market but it can be hard to get $200 onto a $50+ selection. In this case you just have to bite the bullet and go to the totes unless its a Saturday metro meeting. In that case you will probably get your bet covered on betfair.
Most of my betting is in the < $5 range so I can get on betfair nearly 99% of the time.
Oh another isue with betfair is you get hit by their extra fee for winning punters. I have found this doesn't matter that much. If you actually work it out and your strike rate is around 30-40% then it won't affect you at all in most cases. If your a high strike rate winner though you will get stung.

The extra fee or Premium Charge was brought in to combat the traders who have high turnover and pay minimum fees the average trader could easily turn over $30,000 a week and pay less than $50 in fees
