Simply outstanding.

First Post for ages and manages to not pick the Trifecta, because the 3 animals that he rated the worst possible chances filled the 3 placings :(

I should go to that Fevola Rehab place, but it seems it is only a temporary cure.

Punting sucks!!!

I prefer to stay out of Races where there is little revealed Form, or lack of Class or Quality amongst the Runners.
PLUS , I'll either be drunk, asleep, or broke by that time of night.
But good Luck with it anyway.

BALLARAT Race 6

5 REALLY ELITE $2.9
2 OUR TOYMAN $3.6
6 FANTASY PHOENIX $7.5
1 HOLSTEIN MISS $10
7 KID CUDI $14
4 BACON BALE $30
8 PEDRO BOY $45
3 CUTTS ROAD $50

Another $5 worth of Trifecta here.
And when I say $5 worth, thats Total Investment, certainly not $5 per.

5,2 - 5,2,6 - 5,2,6,1,7

6 LADY LATINO $5.7

6 ASTON LUCAS $2.5
8 ROSE TAYLOR $4.7
2 BEE GEE MAC $8.7
4 ALLEN SHAUL $9.8
3 AMANDA BALE $13.5
7 VIVACIOUS GAL $13.6
5 TIGER'S REBEL $35

$12 a Win on #6 ASTON LUCAS
Wins easily if can get around the First Turn fairly safely.
The problem is to get an Overlay about it.
So then a better idea would be to Quinella 8,2,4
8 - 2,4 for $1
2 - 4 for 50 cents

3 KALDEN ATHENA $2.7
2 PUBS GALORE $3.7
7 WILD ARMS $10.6
5 LUCENT $11.7
1 ARTESTA $11.8
4 SOUL CALIBUR $14
6 LIMBURG POWER $50

Only 2 winning Chances here.
Both appear to be Underlays, but heres My Wagers if available.

#3 for $12 a Win
#2 for $8 a Win.

7 BORN LOUIE $6.2
2 CRASH CART KEV $6.8
5 SHUNTED $11.6
8 HOT CHANCE $14
1 INVICTUS PHOENIX $16
4 MEPUNGA TITAN $33
6 GRASMORE $37

I'm figuring Brandeen Marny could mess this start up and is a poor bet if the $1.60 showing in The Watchdog is close to the Mark.
My Wager will be $4 on each of the Dangers.
7 BORN LOUIE
2 CRASH CART KEV

7 TOP PLEDGE $5
6 ZIPPSTAR $7.5
5 RED MARKER $8.4
1 KENYON BALE $8.4
4 ELLA PATCHE $9.2
8 GET SQUARE $16
3 MEL $100

The Odds suggest it is an Open Race, but that is not a bad thing.
The accuracy of the Odds is what counts.
I'll be backing the Biggest Overlay or the First Overlay starting from the top, or perhaps both.

And specifically Race 8.

I rarely post about my dog, Star Diamond, unless in response to a query. But just looking through the fixed odds for tomorrow night, they've got him marked at $2.60. I've made this point about him in the past, the dog trialed twice at The Meadows when I had him, ran near record back split both times and could only manage 30.30s. In a heat of the Silver Chief he ran 5.01 to the first split and fell in running 30.20 on a night where more races broke 30secs at The Meadows than any other night in the history of the joint. Another night there he must have led by six and ran 3rd or 4th from memory.

$2.60 looks well under the odds to me, even though I hope they're right and he bolts in.

People wonder why this dog can come from behind to win over 500m some nights, yet lead by anything up to 10 lengths on other nights and get run down, the secret I believe is that when he leads clearly he tries so hard on the lure that he quite simply has nothing left when turning for home. Whereas if he has found some trouble and not led for any reason through the back split, he saves enough energy checking off heels, etc to have that little bit more stamina for the last section.

This is totally consistent with his form.

6 SELYNYA SURPRISE $3.7
8 GALBA JACK $5.7
5 NEWMAN'S COUNTY $6.3
1 BIT FAMOUS $7.8
3 DOC'S DISCIPLE $10
4 BAHAMA BEAUTY $12
2 OUR MATE HENRY $20
7 MR. BUNDY BEAR $25

#8 GALBA JACK is not suited out wide.
He cuts in hard and will smack into the runners inside him.
I'm expecting #6 SELENYA SURPRISE to begin slow and should miss the trouble and go around and win comfortably.
My Wager is $8 a Win.

Thanks Woof43, but I do have access to read posts on that that website, and read both , his, and your comments on the Race.

I have yet to rate the Race, but my early thoughts are , it will lead, and get run down, and probably miss a place again :(

5 $14.28
6 $29.03
7 $4.59
8 $39.14
I'm tending to think the #7 is way to short in this race, with the #2 & #3 probably leading, this is going to make it doubly hard for this dog, #3 has the better 2nd sectionals, so you need to include in exotics. I'm leaning to more the dogs able to come from behind will win this event, like the #4, #1 & #5 all will be nice odds and lay the #7

6 dogs that need to either race 1-2 to win in this race , again the early fav. #2 has to be real suspect in this with such solid early pace, it steps moderately then drives, last week it had 2 dogs drawn under who were lucky to break 5.20 , this enabled it to drive thru and reach the rails, tonight its going to be pressured. Check it's last start at Ballarat against the tonight's #7.
The 2 dogs who win from behind just don't have the 2nd sectionals to beat the On pace runners.

Poor betting Race.
But I will box the top 4 selections in a Trifecta for $3 worth.
And because Hella Good will be Huge Odds, I'll have something on it as well.

Bendigo

Race 1

#6 Serious Token to lead all the way. Will need to cross the field to find the rails, but there isn't much pace inside so this shouldn't a problem.

#2 Big Wheels is the main danger, could hold the rails and if so will be too strong in the finish.

#4 Flynny Dance awkwardly drawn with the pacier #6 cutting across and #2 potentially holding the rails. May find a squeeze early. But is better than most in this field and is a must for mutliples.

#5 Dreamy Jake look out for in the finish as will be running by a few of these in the home straight. May find a perfect slot at the start of the race just off the rails outside #1.

#7 Jacogen the one to add value in the exotics. If the #4 finds trouble with #3,5 early on, Jacogen will get a perfect run into the race. Only small bets for multiples.

#8 Pryenees Gambler has shown nothing to date when racing in a full field. Does draw well today and will benefit for that. One for F4s.

Will be taking various forms of combinations in the trifecta and first 4.

I notice a MASSIVE increase in the suggested Wager amounts , and perhaps also the number of combinations over your previous suggestions , some months back.
Is that because you are better off financially, more confident on your methods, or just using pretend money, or some other reason?

Ive been observing the style of thinking that woof has been posting. And after a lot of consideration in terms of the data that I was collecting I found that in these type of races I am better to be having less races to bet on, but the ones that I do bet on. Cover the combinations that I feel are possible.

Yes I guess that will work for you, you not being a gamblerholic inasmuch, you can survive not betting in every race.

I had a FlexiTri bet in your Race , using a mix of your selections and the Publics selections, but only managed the winner.

Are you doing any more Bendigo Races?
I am passing the Meeting and will start with Race 6 at Cranbourne.

I have had a very ordinary past couple of weeks, where I was very confident in my Ratings, yet bombed badly.

Woof43 has a method where he modifies his suggestions based on what the Public are doing.
There is considerable merit in that idea, because secret information that is only available to a select few is often indicated in the Market.

My problem is the unwillingless to let go of the idea that My Thoughts on a Race , are anything other than the Correct Ones.

But as My Bank is telling me, I actually know jack :(
