OMG!

What else is there to say?

I just read through 80% of the thread posted on this forum a few days ago. What an absolute winner!

I understand her staking method. Does anyone know if it would work on other selection systems? It would have to have a high strike rate though I guess. But then traditionally, lays having a smaller return than betting to win or place. So maybe a good place selection system would work with this staking system?

Anyone tried anything or got any ideas?

while i admire Maria's staking plan, it would have been worth diddly squat without her selection ability.

that said her plan worked well because it helped reduce risk/reduce losses rather than increase risk/increase losses, which is of course the basis for most win/place staking plans.

Hi Max

Where did you find the thread? I have tried to get a copy of it however the original location (http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk...read18432.html (http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk/forum/thread18432.html)) has been deleted.

Thanks

The Maria staking plan is designed to have its liability higher on the high priced runners assuming they have a higher chance of falling over & the liability lower on the low priced runners.

It can be used for place betting as well.

If one wishes for a stand alone program of this, one can be had by
(Googling) TSM (The Staking Machine)

It does rely on the quality of ones selections for this to work.

Betting to Price
If you want a sound staking approach for Place Betting .

Try betting to price where the price is divided into a take out amount , usually 16th of bank usually good for 22+ outs.

e.g. 1/16th of $200 bank = Take out amount $12.50

Place Div $1.40 / $12.50 = O/L $8.93

If it wins +$3.57 prof = +1.78% increase on bank.
Good money.

Using Betfair to utilise these outlay amounts.

It puts more on the lower prices & less on the higher prices which statistically have less chance of getting up.
