We have taken note of feedback received and made some changes, including making it even more attractive to play for the big collect.
We would love to be giving someone the chance to win $1,500 or more each week. For a tipping competition that is currently attracting just over 20 entries each week we think most will agree that $1,000 cash is very generous. For our small privately owned business $1,000 is a significant expense. We don't have millions of dollars to play with like the corporate bookies and TABs.
In addition, if entries pick up we are prepared to offer a $2,000 or $3,000 weekly cash prize.
We don't know of any other privately owned Australian racing web sites offering any of their members the chance of winning at least $1,000 cash each week.

Tip a Winner Competition - Cash Prizes
This competition is fun and free to enter each week. All you do is tip a winner from Saturday's races. The winner will receive a cash prize of
$30 - for up to 39 valid entries.
$50 - for 40 to 69 valid entries.
$70 - for 70 or more valid entries.

This is how it works.
1. When you win Tip a Winner with a first prize that is above we will give you the option when we declare "correct weight" for you to choose not to collect your cash prize but instead go all up to win at least $1,000 in the following week's Tip a Winner competition for outright first. (Pro-rata amounts if there is a tie for first apply of course.)
a) If your prize was $30 cash you can choose not to collect that $30 and instead play for a $1,000 cash first prize in the following week's Tip a Winner competition PLUS you will receive a $100 cash consolation prize should you tip a winner at odds of at least $10.00 that does not win you first prize.
b) If your prize was $50 cash you can choose not to collect that $50 and instead play for a $2,000 cash first prize in the following week's Tip a Winner competition PLUS you will receive a $125 cash consolation prize should you tip a winner at odds of at least $10.00 that does not win you first prize.
c) If your prize was $70 cash you can choose not to collect that $70 and instead play for a $3,000 cash first prize in the following week's Tip a Winner competition PLUS you will receive a $150 cash consolation prize should you tip a winner at odds of at least $10.00 that does not win you first prize.
2. Should your cash prize for winning Tip a Winner also include prize money from one of the four cash prize bonuses below you can elect to go all up with that part of your prize money which is above PLUS also collect in cash your Cash Prize Bonus. (Pro-rata amounts if there is a tie for first apply.)
The $500 cash prize bonus
If you tip a winning horse at odds of $20.00 or better, but do not win Tip a Winner, if you win next week the cash prize you receive will be increased to $500 cash!
The $400 cash prize bonus
If last week's Box a Trifecta competition winner wins this week's Tip a Winner the cash prize will be increased to $400 cash!
The $200 cash prize bonus
If you tip a winning horse at odds of $10.00 or better, but do not win Tip a Winner, if you win next week the cash prize you receive will be increased to $200 cash!
The $150 place cash prize bonus
If you tip a horse that places and pays a place dividend of $10.00 or better, if you win Tip a Winner next week the cash prize you receive will be increased to $150 cash!
