Hi All
Has anybody got the average divvies for all (or some if thats all you have) of the top ten runners Betfair? My data is based on the tote and because I have to lay to betfair and there is a difference, it is screwing with my head.
Thanks in advance Beton

Thanks Shaun
Apart from entering stuff into premade templates I am excel illiterate. I am coming to the realisation that this must change. I was hoping that someone already had the averages at hand. Regards Beton

If Backing, one allows for approx 20% difference between TAB & Betfair Backing prices .

If Laying, use approx 25% difference between TAB & Betfair prices.

These a General figures only.

Thanks Bhagwan.
I was working on 20% for laying and it appeared a little light, that's why I raised the query. I have to tighten up what I am doing and knowing what the averages were makes it easier. Beton

Hi Bhagwan,

Do you know what difference, on average, there is between backing and laying on Betfair? If I was trying something out say with lay bets but wanted to see what odds the back bets would be how much percentage difference would there be?

I'm guessing the favs will most likely be only 1 step difference but what about the $10, $20, $30, $40 layed odds horses? What would their back price most likely be?

There is no way to guess the prices once you go past the 1st 2nd fav, i have seen runners on the TAB paying 8 and 12 on betfair for the back side add another 3 for the lay side.

In a market of approx 103%

For a 11.00 Back shot, its Lay price will usually be approx 11.50-12.00

That's a 5-10% difference.
