Hi Guys,
I recently bought Make Racing Pay from Win*orm and it's pretty good. Does anyone here have a copy of any of the other publications that you could recommend ie Last Start Winners Guide or Racing Pays More?
Hard to get any clarity on the contents and if worth getting. What does Racing Pays More cover that's no in Make Racing Pay?
Interested to hear your thoughts and happy to discuss any ideas I've also picked up from the above with you.
Cheers,
Marksto2

forget those books and get a hold of Roger Biggs' publications
Handicapping My Way and More Handicapping my way
Wi-nform actually sells these books and they teach you how to fish at no extra cost

letsbet,
I agree.
Biggs has done some really significant studies (very statistical, but very relevant).
Recommended.

One thing I have found works really well out of Make Racing Pay is leaving out the top two favourites if $4 plus just before race start. I then back the next few in the market up until I cannot make more than 100% profit.
I calc at fixed odds and the tote prices generally pay alot more. Has anyone tried or use this? So simple but effective.

That sounds like an interesting approach Mark.
I gave it a run today deleting the top 2 Favs paying 4.00+
Then Dutching the remaining field.
It worked a treat.

Heard various things about these books. Are they a stand alone product that will put you on the right track re profitable handicapping or are they a 'come on' to subscribe to his rating sevice?
Thanks Peter

Thanks PeterPeter,
pretty much both. You can subscribe but all the information is there (in HMY) if you are prepared to put in the work.
But I must comment, if you're not prepared to put in the work in ANY endeavour, don't expect to succeed in that endeavour.

If one is into systems there is a bargain price special, going at RaceRate where there are heaps & heaps of systems & staking plans to try.
It comes with past TAB results on a number of them.
Some good , some not so good.
Supplied on a CD
There is an interesting staking plan there called the Cascade 10.
Whereby returns are spread over the next 10 races.
With working XL spread sheets.
It makes a fortune with the right winners.
There's also a very interesting place staking plan which they claim is one of the best there is.
I am currently using one of the Lay plans on there at the moment & its making a killing.

Bit expensive for my tastes, you burn a few copies and sell them to the forum, you get your money back we get a bargain.

If I were to give my perception of the rules, but maybe not necessarily that particular version, it might go something like this...
RULES
Target top 2 selections of any Tipster.
Selection is the runner that ran exactly 2nd LS
No resumers.
Price 4.00-8.00
Lay bet .7% of bank.
Stop betting for the day if we get bit 3 times at any stage. (Important)
With any lay betting plan , they all experience the odd day where say 6 Horses decide to win instead of falling over for us , thus giving back all our profits.
So stop at 3 outs & we will be fine.
This works amazingly well.
Optional- Target only one selection per venue.
e.g. 6 venues = 6 selections.
6 x .7% of bank = 4.2% increase on bank
This works very well & avoids most runs of outs.
It is very common to find that we dont get bit at all for the whole day.

One can make it stronger again by only targeting 9+ runner races.
This also reduces the number of bets.

Does anyone know anything about or use the C plan? Is it just based on prices or free ratings or do you have to purchase Winf*rm ratings??

The Grail looks the goods but not sure.

I like a number of their staking plans.
There are some ideas there that I never seen before.
