Hi All,

I looked for a place to introduce myself but couldn't find one so here looks as good as any!

I stumbled across this site while looking for AFL tips and i have to say this place is fantastic!!

I'm really looking forward to learning as much as i can about prediction especially in sports. I feel i have so much to learn and that i have stumbled into a library full of information and that i want to read everything and understand it all.

Thanks everyone and good luck!

Jimbo

Thanks DarkyDog

just wondering if there is a part of the forum that has some educational stuff that i could read up on?

Im amazed at how accurate most of the people are on here as far as their tips go.

Thanks

The Propun Newsletter has some interesting articles going back a few years.

What were you particularly interested in?

The forum has been mainly dealing in horse racing over the years with the occasional "sports " betting.

You could do a search on Sportsbetting on the site.

Cheers

Hi DarkyDog,

Ill try and find those newsletters you mentioned I'll also do a search on sportsbetting.

I'm mainly interested in sports betting along the line of AFL,NFL,NBA,WNBA etc.

I have read a fair amount on money management and understand that sports gambling is more a long term effort rather that a get rich quick plan and that you take what the market gives you rather than trying to make the market give you what you want.

Ive been watching Sands and a few others on the forum and im impressed with their accuracy, one of the things i don't understand is how they pick a certain game out of a weekend... why that game, what makes it different to the others, how do they know that it has a better probability of a positive outcome etc... i guess i have a lot to learn!!

Thanks for you help so far.. i really appreciate it.

More reading to do

Thanks
