Just got this from an extremely reliable source within ACTTAB:
A punter on Friday placed a Parlay bet at a TAB outlet in Canberra on Races 4 - 7 at Werribee and correctly picked the winner of all 4 races. The individual dividends were:
Race 4: $41.40
Race 5: $34.50
Race 6: $8.10
Race 7: $5.20
For his/her $11 investment the lucky punter picked up $84832.95.
So why was the punter unlucky? If they had invested $1 more and taken those 4 horses in the Quaddie they would have won a fraction under $200,000 as the quaddie was not won and had a jackpot of around $114,000.
Bugger!
