View Full Version : Neurals R&S

Has anyone done some stats of levels stakes on anything under $2.99 or less on the Neurals R&S. Today I saw 4 selections for 3 winners and a 3rd. Although the avg dividend on unitab was $2.70 there might be some value on other days? This was keeping the settings as per default
Cheers

As expected no response. Where are.all the decent topics gone. All these days its, about pathetic trial n error systems. Im surprised no one is trialling the horse.with the longest tail or smallest leg

Why didn't I think of the longest tail system?
Maybe you can trial it.
As far as responding, maybe no one has done these stats or have not looked in here lately.
Take it easy. :)

Hi Vortech,
What do you do when we have a "wet" track as the WET = 0 on the default setting?
Maybe you can put up the selections each day as others do and we can follow the progress of this interesting system.
Good luck with the selections.

With aggressive languaging like "pathetic trial n error systems" , why would
anyone go near any inputs if that's the type of reaction one will expect.
Why don't you put forward your findings, do some research yourself & not rely
on being spoon fed everything.
Then some others may put forward their thoughts.
Try & be within the spirit of this forum of sharing , not expecting.

Your right Bhagwan and I must apologise. After many unsuccessful attempts of trying to find a long term system, I begin putting $$$ on the horses and it goes backwards.
My next thought process is either one of the following
1. Systems for particular tracks/distances. Is there a common value for these.
2. Maybe a system for seasonal changes.
Anyhow I'll continue to test the neurals on R&S and see how I go. Basically the 1st Neural is returning around 28% Strike Rate. The value of the neural shows a slight increase in strike but the same in POT%.
i'm going to start doing some hard form analysis using bet selector software. If anyone needs a system tested from Jan 08, let me know.

Now that Bet Selector is something to have for some serious number crunching.
If there is a data base with it.

Heres a Lay plan that supposed to have a strong chance of falling over .
It apparaently shows a level stakes profit if layed at level stakes.
RULES
Must have run 2nd Last start.
Win SR 1-19%
Include resumers.
Must be <= $9.80
Do you reckon you could crunch these please to see what happens just out of interest.

Ok ill run tonight for u.
A nice system i am testing at the moment is
1. 100 unitab rating.
2. Drops 1 to 3 kgs from last start
3. Drops 100m to 300m from last start
Sr is low 18.7 per cent. Avg div on unitab is 7.21
Around 620 bets since jan 10. I don't have the bank at moment to support run of outs which was as high as 17.

Your Lay System:
2254 Bets in 1 year
476 Wins
Loss of $461.40 or LOT 17.4%
The interesting variable that improved results was No Jockey Allowance.
Saturday was the best performing lay day not but heaps
3 year old horses also under par.
Adelaide Metro was your worst State
I can run for nearly 4 years, but would take some time and can email you results!

Thanks heaps Vortech.
I notice it had a 21% win SR .
Which is a bit up there for a lay plan.
If you were to re-write the rules to improve the Lay profitability
e.g. greater LOT .
What would you make them?

How many filters are you happy with?
Saturday races and mid week?
Bhagwan
8th September 2011, 09:21 AM
Say 2-4 filters so as to get the 21% SR down a bit to say 17-18%
e.g. apprentice jockeys
or win SR lowered from 19%
or days LS 28days+
or Field size.
or TAB price last start.
or Up in Wt.
or Dist range.
ect.
Betting 7 days a week.
It's a positive start so far .
So thanks once again.

Thanks for that.
I've got all the meetings but how do you go back and get all the starting Prices?
Do you have to do this through the live betting.
I also only used SMBAWsmbaw for my races. Didn't use the X.
Any other interesting systems you have in your bag enjay?
I've got data going back to Jan 2008.
Have you incorporated the unitab ratings yet?
Sorry for all the questions.

Hi Vortech.
I have used all meetings as per the **** Manual.......SMBAWX
Venue: Venue code, eg S for Sydney, M for Melbourne, B for Brisbane, A for Adelaide, W for Perth and X for anything else - or a combination of these eg SMBAWX for everything, SMB for just the 3 eastern capitals etc. Using the same letters but in lower case picks provincial venues in each respective state (eg s for NSW provincials, m for Victorian provincials etc). Also you can string two or three 3 letter track codes together like *MOPMPK to test for both Morphettville tracks (you can use this for any combination of 2 or 3 track codes whether they are at the same location or not).
Also I have just asked for the last start SP to be below $9.80 also in manual
Market Criteria: SP Price (min-max) allows you to select horses by their Starting Price (expressed in dollars) using the min and max range. SP Rank (min-max) allows you to select horses by their Starting Price Ranking, eg 1-1 for favourite, 1-3 for top 3 favourites etc.
I hope that helps.......And yes I do have quite a few interesting systems in my bag, roughly 40 that I run daily....

Cool.
I got rid of the X as there were too many races in rural areas like Mt Isa etc.
