G'day fellas, hope all is well. Just popping in as I normally do this time of year. All is in readiness for the annual trip south for the carnival.
Kiwi, I loved Unusual Suspects run on Saturday. It seems to be cruising along underneath the radar. 4th in the Dato to Rekindled, Alco and WBY, lugged a load in the Cranbourne Cup no doubt chasing the $1 mill bonus and was 14th at the 400 on Saturday before threading the needle for a closing 6th in the CC. Currently $31 on fixed. What was it paying before the CC?

Yeah, biggest street-corner tip since the CC has been Unusual Suspect. 3rd-last on the turn, rattled home. Was supposed to be ridden more forward but didn't have enough zip early. Nothing wrong with the runs of Manighar & Drunken Sailor either. Both looking much better this visit.

Big win by Dunaden in the Geelong Cup. It makes me a bit more confident with my Melbourne Cup selection now. I've already taken Jukebox Jury which left Dunaden in his wake at his last start in France. Also another great run by Bauer.

Hmm, they've taken the article down. Was about 40% of Unusual Suspect being up for an urgent sale. $300,000 by Friday 5 PM. I'm a tad short though...

Always been a fan of Brett Prebble
His mount Moyenne Corniche was an eye catching effort in the Herbert Power
Slight doubt the distance but could surprise at odds with a cushy run

Didn’t take long. John O’Shea is the latest Australian-based trainer heading overseas to source staying prospects. He has just purchased a French galloper formerly trained by Melbourne Cup winning trainer Alain de Royer Dupré.
