I read on a forum (might even have been this one) that the CP algorithym has the best strike rate of all the other categories.

Having a few spare minutes I decided to look at it. I've identified the horse with the highest CP points for each venue. There's only two days of results on the neural website but for that period the results are not too unpromising.

There were four venues on Thursday. There were 2 winners paying a total of $7.60, and 3 placegetters paying $6.50.

Yesterday, there were eight venues. At one of them two selections had equal points so I omitted that venue. I also omitted Canterbury and Moonee Valley because experience suggests metro tracks might not be compatible with the neurals. From the remaining five venues there were four winners paying $7.70 and five placegetters paying $5.88.

So, over the two days there were 9 selections for 6 winners paying $15.40, and 8 placegetters paying $12.38.

If I've got time I'll list today's selections.

Looks okay for a 2 day limited run. Where do you come up with these systems. It's jolly great. :)

Is that highest CP with all other settings to default or doesn't that matter with that particular Neural? I.E. I currently have those other 3 columns set to 0 for the fave method.

The Ocho, when I tested the system I had the other neurals at a setting of 3. i,e the mormal default/factory settings which includes the three categories we omit only for our Lay the Fave method.

The venue that had 2 horses at equal points I looked at them to see which had the higher overall points with the default settings. The one that did, ran second paying $2.00 but I did not include it in the results.

Here's hoping for today.

Dunkeld

I forgot to mention that the two day's results are based on NSW TAB divvies.

Here's hoping...

Thanks for sharing your findings Michael.
They look promising.

I have a question.

If we are targeting the highest CP set at 5 rating , with the rest on factory setting of 3.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have CP at 5 & all the rest at 0

Or does that change things?

Those selections didn't do so well yesterday with just one winner at short odds.

Yes, yesterday was a bad day. But only having had two days I could not see if there were any reasonable filters, but yesterday if I had omitted the maiden races and the selections that were resuming from a spell there would have only been three selections. There was one winner of $1.30, but all three placed for a return of $3.90.

I'll check today's selections if any, with the two above filters and post them here later.

Bhagwan, you're right about CP on a setting of 5, but when I was looking at the two days results I had them on factory settings just out of interest to see if the top neural selection also had the most CP points.

Today's CP selections are:

Sun Coast
5/2

Albany
6/1

Devenport
8/12 - the Tele says it is not resuming from a spell, but Unitab says it is. I'll go by the Tele.
