Does anyone know or can direct me to some content in regards to how one can integrate some of the neurals / don scott ratings from R&S into Excel.

The customised form guide doesn't list the CP ratings

Here is a short course i did a few months back in getting webpages in to excel.

It will work with R&S on some of there pages but not all and they have a couple methods for displaying the page.

Thanks Shaun.

I've done a little research into the results regarding the different neurals with comparison to unitab / don scott and can't find much information.

This is either one of two things
- the results aren't that great
- it hasn't been tested in much detail

Shaun

in earlier version i had it set to get those files but the issue was that Skyform were particular when and what they would list, so i removed it.

I may have another look at re adding it.

Yer I think Sky is a little more consistent now so might be worth putting it back in if you could please :)

Shaun

Vortech did you try send me an attachment with that email? because the attachment failed, i ended up with a ATT00001.dat file 345 bytes in size.

I'm not sure if that email address accepts attachments as its just an email I still use from iinet when i was with them years ago you get to keep it for $25 a year.

I'm gonna set up new email now with the new isp i just joined.

Shaun

i will look in to it.

Shaun

Where it should have the unitab rating just change the first part of formula to $AF$3 not $AG$3 then copy down.

I have a excel file i use to consolidate data from R&S, then i paste it into a microsoft Access Database- you copy the data from R&S site then i have a macro button that pastes the data into the excel sheet. if you have anything in particular that you are after, i may be able to assist with what i have and modify to what you are after.
I currently get the Nuerals, Worksheet(DS ODDS) and Ratings pages

Thanks Pete

Basically I have a log in to R&S and have a customised form guide which allows me to filter my 6 variables.

From there I have to manually load each meeting and check which horse gets all the ticks.

The filters include the CP rating out of Neurals, Don Scott FR, DLS, Career Starts, Barrier and track condition.

I would like to have a Macro dump all the data from all the meetings into a Excel sheet. I don't think its possible to list the selections based on my criteria.

Also I assume the DS FR and neurals change after scratchings?

I don't suppose anyone has any stats for the other neural categories like CF, TIM, JA, TA, JT, CRS, etc?

UselessBettor
23rd August 2012, 12:49 PM
These are based on tatts prices. Results since August 2011 as per most of my data.

Disregard slightly wrong SQL.

Some of these races have more then 1 as the top, for example JA, JT, TA. You might get 3 or more horses with the same figure.

No worries UB.

UselessBettor
23rd August 2012, 01:22 PM
JA = loss OF 16.9%
CP= loss of 14.5%
CF= loss of 17.1%
Tim = Loss of 16.9%
JT = Loss of 16.9%

Combined two for a break even.
What do you mean Vortech?

Pete the punter
23rd August 2012, 11:09 PM
I can understand that if you run data against one criteria you would most likely come out with a loss, but if you start mixing different criterias together you can turn things around and make a profit, I have been using some of the criterias below with others since mid April, currently I have had 32 selections, strike rate is running at 38% and the P.O.T is at 92% . The below post has each criteria as indiviual methods running at a loss, so the figures don't justify what Vortech may be using.

Thats correct Pete,

Uselessbettor - at what time to you record the results for the top selection in each category; the night before or after scratchings?

Also does your testing include NZ and other international meetings?

Cheers

CheersNight before.

No international markets, just Australian Markets.

The figures were also based on tatts figures so you can do a lot better using betfair/best tote.
