Interesting the comments by a Radio TAB tipster saying 2 and 3 year olds can't back up after 7 days. But get on the others dropping some ground!

So I tested Metro tracks horses aged between 4-7 after 7 days last start to find some interesting stuff.

rules were DLS = 7
Age = 4 to 7
Dropping 100m max
Field 9 to 16


Results:

My database confirms a similar win result over 1465 races. Return was 1567.89 on a 6.5% commission.

Vortech, I recall jacfin had something to say regarding days between runs and it might be worthwhile for you to look at specific distances. His research found days between runs could not be applied across all distances with similar outcomes. Some days between runs were better suited over sprints, while others were better over middle distances.

You could also try TAB 1 to 6 for instance ..... I believe you need a POT somewhere near the 50% mark to be able to ride through the vaguaries of this wonderful caper !! I know it sounds high, but a piddling 10% to 20% could leave you vulnerable. Anyway, just my thoughts.

I've done some research Vortech and LSW, aged 2 & 3, backing up exactly 7 days don't have a good record. However, those that did not win their LS and backing up 7 days do no worse than 4 to 7 y/o. So, maybe a 2 and 3 y/o has had a hard run when winning it's previous race ..... eh what ?

these last two are for the sat only punters so they can get a better idea --have good resultes with 7 day horses but very few bets.
