Betfair has rejected a £912m takeover bid led by Formula 1 owner CVC Capital Partners.
Betfair said it had received a preliminary offer on Friday of 880p per share from the private equity firm, former director Richard Koch, who has a 6.5pc stake in Betfair, and Antony Ball, a non-executive director at Luxembourg-listed investment group Brait.
This is only the beginning, more to come for sure.
But what of the future if a takeover is successful?
