Thanks CP,
I'm a little bored today, so needed an idea to spark things up.

Not much joy today but came home with a wet sail through Ametsis scoring at $2.70. $3.40 was available early. A couple of fourth placings today, so not far off with Riebeek and State of Wealth.
I'm going to work on 1 unit per race with these selections for ease of results.
Results:
SR 1/4
PL Tatts - 1.3 / BF SP - 1.42
Still early days so let's not panic just yet. :)

You get the best heavy tracks in N.Z, T.S.
I try and avoid maidens 2yos and fillies and mares races.Use the right breeding and wet tracks can make you a steady profit

Hiya Kiwi,
Nice to hear from you mate!
It's the type of grass you use I believe? They put some on the Newcastle track in NSW and never looked back.
Do you look at both sides of their breeding?

Mainly the dam, there can be several levels of wet track performers through them.
I still stick to the first 5 in the betting, and take wide draws with horses ths qualify seriously.
Certain sires like Better Boy Alcide Oncidium Palestine War Hawk Mellay Big Came Crepello and others from the past, if present push me in the right direction.

I was going to be all over Mr Tipsy E/W at Rosehill tomorrow at big odds on the Heavy track but he is scratched.

Hi Kiwi,
Thanks for the explanation. Got any to look at today? Or ones you've already backed?
G'day Mattio, nice to hear from you! Mr Tipsy sure is a swimmer, no!
Today's mudlarks:
Rosehill
7-9 Forfeiture
8-16 Romanus
Eagle Farm
5-9 Classics
6-1 Sizzling
7-1 Dear Demi
8-16 Galah
Morphettville
7-11 Shysta
8-8 Bermondsey
We're going for the jugular, all horses straight out to WIN! "Don't spare the bookies!!" :D
Hope everyone's going ok so far. I'm 0/2 and have one bet left, Sizzling, which I backed earlier in the week at $6, so hopefully I'll come home with the proverbial 'wet sail'.....

Galah is a dyed in the wool wet tracker. 6 starts for 0 wins on good ground and 4 wins from 10 on dead or worse before today.
He really put in today. I don't have many bets based on my opinion but when I saw Dear Demi and Gondo clash last time I decided that I would be on the latter when they clashed in the Oaks. She would have won last time without interference. She kept drifting all day and I backed her at 6.4 on BF.
Good selecting today !!

Hi Speedy,
Some good results indeed yesterday! Nice that the only horses that did anything, ended up winning, while the others didn't run a drum.
Well done on Gondokoro yesterday!! A super ride and another nice training performance from Pat Carey. Love this trainer. I didn't invest in the race. Dear Demi is a favourite of mine but I didn't like the fact in her last 3 starts she went up and down from 2400, 2000, 2200. She raced like a tired horse. Spell time.
I've got a super busy day so best of luck to all if you're wagering in the Heavy conditions.
My advice for wet track enthusiasts:
1/ Make sure if the horse has won in the wet, it was in a similar class as today or it rated its PANTS OFF in that run.
2/ If a horse is horribly out of form, just because it is on a wet track, don't assume it will win. If it is an out and out wet tracker and has been running on only fry tracks of late, ensure those runs have some merit.
