Don't want to sound like a smart rrrs after the event, but I just put a lay bet on Goul R9 N6.
Can anyone tell me why this runner was fave, when all the standard info I look at had it as a donkey. I just don't understand what was the appeal of this runner.
Sure, I was right this time, but it concerns me that I must be missing some input that is obviously relevant.

That's alright Twobets, what about R4 Mildura, Brookfield Talent had it's second win in 100 starts and started 2nd favourite....?? Thankfully I Layed a horse with a record worse than that! What a joke!

Obviously some shenanigans going on somewhere to the detriment of the people who are supporting this industry - the punters.

Are you seriously telling me you can't see why it started second fav ? Your talking Goulburn R9 number 6 Nodemme
50% win strike rate ?
Won first up before ?
Had only 2 career runs so likely to improve
Was coming down in class (slightly 22K vs 15K)
Had Pennza riding (perceived better then the other riders)
Had run 3rd in a recent barrier trial.
The other horses didn't seem to have much on it ....
I can see why it was fav, not that I would have bet it but I can see why.

The "happenstance" WIN Strike Rate of horses with 3 legs, a Samoan weight lifter as jockey, from Barrier 49 is +/-2% (sample size 2 million+).
******** happens.
