This is slightly off the subject of current racing but someone told me that it has been claimed that Phar Lap's oversized heart is a fake. Has anyone else heard this rumour and does anyone know anything about it? It's interesting to me to know whether Phar Lap was also a physical freak or just had some kind of unique psychological make-up.
