Several months ago Tabcorp replace its ‘Live Odds’ web service with the ‘RapidBet’ web service at the same time restricting its download of dividends information to account holders with a turnover of at least $25,000 per annum. Smaller punters who were using the data for their own purposes were left out.
I was wondering what some of those smaller punters did to reclaim that dividend information, if anything.
The only options I could see at the time were-
1. Increase betting turnover to reach the minimum $25000 turn over requirement.
2. Buy in the data from a 3rd party. Around $50 per month?
3. Scrape dividends from the Tab.Mobi web site.
For my part I switched my betting to TattsBet where I could use its xml service.
Perhaps someone has found another way round the problem?

Hi Debug, who's the 3rd party you mention?

Hi Stugots,
I may have been using the ‘3rd party’ term a bit loosely but I was thinking of Subscription data. There are probably others who provide Tabcorp data in the form of an xml or text file at a cost.

Hi debug,

Subscription Data is very reliable and fast, much cheaper than $25000 betting turnover (unless you are winning of course).

Thanks Mattio,
True it would be much cheaper than the $25,000 per year. Knowing my lack of success winnings would not help much.
I still think that Tabcorp should provide some option for its smaller punters in the form of a file of current runner dividends, even limited access to the RapiBet web service would do. After all I am sure there are a lot of punters who would welcome an opportunity to do their own thing with their personnel software.

this will give you tatts downloads
put the meeting date in sheet 3 c1-d1 and the odds etc will be in sheet1 and the results in sheet 4.

invoke " both for date" in sheet 3 and down they come.
