I have just upgraded to a Windows 8.1 laptop and now I am having trouble with a macro that gets Tatts data, the error that comes up is saying:

Compile Error:

User-defined type not defined

The code it refers to is:

Dim xmldoc As MSXML2.DOMDocument

I haven't changed anything in the code or in the VBA References (etc) and as I am not that familiar with VBA I am hoping someone could please assist.

Cheers,

Mat.

Solved - I needed to uncheck the Microsoft XML v6 and check v3.

Wow that was quick mattio.
How you finding 8.1, I stuck with 7 as I don;t like the Metro interface.
Having said that, I'd be interested in your experience.

Hi Chrome,

Part of my problem is that I am impatient and have to keep trying to find the answer while waiting for a reply :)

So far I am finding 8.1 ok, generally its just 7 with a new face and start screen but I have found that by adding the main programs/files/folders etc to the start screen I am not really missing the start menu. I kinda like the whole app type theme as well as there are some interesting ones in the app store. Of course as time goes on and more apps are developed it will get better much like IOS has become with their app store.

Overall so far so good.

Cheers,

Matt.

Thanks for the review, maybe I should take the plunge :D
I can see the apps being of real benefit.

personally I have no use for the apps yet to use one, installed 'Classic Start menu' and the desktop now behaves like Win 7
