Hi, can my champion of the spring carnival keep winning? Alas, this time I will not be backing him. Why? The blacksmith anvil like weight (61.5kg) will be too much when combined with barrier 16. The barrier may well come in after scratchings to 14.
The course and distance are to his liking which I feel will see him come home well. I think he will be like "Make Mine Magic" in the Stradbroke, all heart and guts but miss by a nose.
I think "Old Fashion" has the weight, barrier and form combination to win.
