Anyone here using Ladbrokes Australia.

I like the idea of being able to collect winnings at any ATM.

Unfortunately Ladbrokes bans every winning punter so the whole idea of an ATM card for them is stupid.

That's one thing I've never thought to ask - do LADBROKES and all the others in the same unethical boat just ban people from Fixed Odds on horse racing, or, do they also ban/limit people on other products such as Tote, sports odds, if they are winning overall?

They ban from fixed odds and won't give you Top Fluc, or Best tote, they'll allow you mid tote which is next to useless.

At what Liability to them do they ban you.

At what bet size from the Punter?

How do the larger punters ala Paul D or Michel get set.

Thanks Chrome.

Out of fixed price, top fluc, best tote and all the rest. What is considered the best value?

Generically Best Tote, but Top Fluc if you can spot overs early, or you're adept at predicting firmers.

They told me I wasn't banned, they were happy to still offer me their range of tote products. I could hear a toilet flushing in the background.

If it helps, a reprint of a Paul D01 post from November 8 2013:

My record with corporate bookmakers that are still operating:

IAS - partly restricted;
Sportsbet - barred;
Centerbet - barred;
B365 - barred;
Betstar - barred;
Ladbrokes - barred (account was closed in 7 mins);
Luxbet - barred;
Sportingbet - can only bet metro and limited to win 5k;
Bookmaker.com - barred;
Dynabet - severely restricted may as well not bet.

The good news though is:

Tabcorp - can bet any metro race to win 20k;
Top Sport - limited to win 5k before race day but can bet to win pretty much anything on race day;
Tatts - same as Tabcorp;
Palmerbet - a bit up and down but seem to get a reasonable bet on metro less so on provincial and country.

Other than these I use bowlers and a commission agent on track.

My suggestion:

Target one of the cowboys at a time and hit them as hard and as fast as you can. You are going to get barred anyway if you are a winning punter so at least get some of their money.

Pat are you suffering from amnesia?.....It's just that you must have forgot about this post of yours from 13 Nov 2013, wherein you were recanting how you had been banned by Ladbrokes and others including sports betting??:

Yep. They're more than happy to take your money, but if you happen to have a big win, you're done. I've been banned or limited in some way (either ridiculously small betting stakes or not able to use fixed odds) with the following:

Ladbrokes - Banned after 6 weeks (they got around $10k out of me, then after 1 win of around $2k I was banned immediately). Great business practise there. Bookmaker.com.au same situation (affiliated).

Sportsbet - Banned from fixed odds after 48 hours in international racing, then another 24 hours with Aus Racing. Same with IAS as they're affiliated. Also limited to pennies with both on sports. Both accounts are basically useless.

BetVictor - Banned after a win on soccer.

StanJames - Banned after a win on Tennis.

The obvious common denominator is "UK-owned". Ladbrokes and the rest should have just left my accounts open or not restrict them - they'd have thousands more out of me by now...

Thought I might update this list since the topic has been refreshed.

IAS now can bet to win only between $500 and $1,000. I was told by a staff member that I know that they still allow me to bet to this level so that they can utilize the knowledge of what I'm backing.

Tabcorp still getting on to win a decent bet but its much harder and often they will bet me to win $5k then offer me the rest at reduced odds.

Tatts still OK but now Im also using agents to bet fixed odds at various TAB outlets on a rotating basis.

Palmerbet can bet to win $1,000 approx but that varies depending on location.

Unibet (opened an account with them) they have flagged me, know who I am but have been told that they will generally let me on to win between $1k and $5k depending on how the account is going overall.

Top Sport definitely still the best.

Late entry: Mark Read is betting now at fixed odds and/or Best Tote on Melbourne and Sydney races on a Saturday.

Doesn't Pat123 arbitrage on places? I don't see how the November statement about him being banned and the query in this thread are necessarily contrary to each other.

"do LADBROKES and all the others in the same unethical boat just ban people from Fixed Odds on horse racing, or, do they also ban/limit people on other products such as Tote, sports odds, if they are winning overall?"

From my understanding of the skill/niche/whatever, I doubt he was using the tote if he was doing arbitrage. If he got banned it was likely his usage of Fixed Odds, hence the query "do people just get banned for winning like I did, or do they get banned using other products too?"

Perhaps I have misunderstood...
