They've just done and released an overhaul of their AUS website layout. I highly doubt this.

I contacted Crown Resorts on 3rd July:

I would like to know what Crown intends to do with Betfair Australia...

If it is to remain operating as an exchange, will the Betfair PLC API
for online bet placement will remain in place, or what?

I am in limbo at the moment, I want to write my own 'bot' for Australian
horse racing, but don't want to spend all that effort writing to an API
(or even an exchange?) that is going to be wound down.

Had a call from Betfair AU last week reminding me that the v6 API is being shut off on Nov 1, and that everyone will have to upgrade to API-NG. It's already well publicised but that's from the horses mouth as of last week.
