Computer help (again)

My volume control has disappeared. I have a Dell Lap top, I use a Mouse and keyboard, normally I click on the small UP symbol which is located near the bottom left of the screen, and the icons appear one of which was the volume control. Suddenly it's gone? any help appreciated. I clicked on customise and clicked on "show volume control" but nothing changes?

Have you tried rebooting?

I managed to retrieve it by ticking the box "always show icons" but of course they are now all visible, anyway I can live with that, thanks anyway

ah right, not a dig, just perplexed.

If is disappears when you have it set to the arrow that you click to see other icons put your mouse on it left click and drag it to the taskbar, you can move them where you want on there.
