Hi Eddy,
Thank you for the clarifying question, I hope this message finds you well!
Increase bet after loss.
Trying to even out the $$$ coming in from place selections.

Selections:
2 units
Wyong 8 - 12 Standing Bear $41
If Wyong selection wins, back to 1 unit bet, if it loses, 5 unit bet
Pakenham 7 - 1 Tarn's Prince $26
The selections come from a times based system, using the qualifying race rules mentioned in the original post. Two long shots today, so it's either caviar or two minute noodles.

Based on today's selections, it may be better off aiming to win a set amount, say .7 units in each 3 bet sequence, capping the mimimum bet at 1 unit to grab the excess $$$ if the long shot places.
So today with two long shot selections, you don't necessarily need to use the 1,2,5 bet sequence. Simply even stakes or a slight increase in stake for Tarn's Prince at Pakenham to secure a profit if it wins.
Using even stakes when the prices are high might be the go.
Or even 3 sequences of:
111
222
555
Stopping at a winner, or any time you are in profit.
Interested in any input. 🙌
Note: To make a profit chasing/making up for previous losses, we'll need a system that can beat the takeout.
