Phipsy,
I'll take Gilded Youth and Danbird in the Spring Stakes but wont be surprised to see Terra. win it.
Was thinking along the lines of Rocksinga and My Fuji for the Cup.
Gail and Beasley combo with Rocksinga cheery ripe for this. 2nd [half neck]in the Wyong Cup behind Daniel's the man but beating Comforts and Outlaws. My Fuji is running hot and was a close second recently in a class record time over 2000m at Rosehill and won last start over 2400m at Ranwick.
I'll Dutch em' both I think as they have the 5 and 6 alleys with two top jocks aboard. Like all Cups, hard race worth a small bet.
Just had another look at the cup runners and apart from a lot of runners with a good chance, My Tally is a stand out with a win by four and a half lengths last start [streaked em'] at Ranwick over 1800m and a 5th. in the group 1 Canterbury Guiness and a 2nd. in the group 2 tulloch stakes. Might take some running down now he is in winning form. Four starts this track for a win a 2 seconds with Cassidy on board for Lees.
Cheers and good luck.

For the Newcastle Cup, I'm confident that Outlaws will be very prominent with Beadman on board.
For a bit of value, I like Robert Royale in Race 3. Zac on board, reaching peak fitness and stepping up to the 1400m where it has fared well in the past.
Cheers

Yes Crash, do like the way Hy Fuji is progressing and should be hard to beat again. Should be interesting contest though at level weights with Daneborough this time. He did hit the lead at the 2300 last start, before not quite seeing the journey out strong. Will get 2 miles though, being out of a Kingston Rule mare, so we have't heard the last of him I suspect.
These Fuji Kiseki's are going great guns and there are plenty more coming through. In fact, my buddy just purchased one, and is trying to register "Kiss My Fuji" as the racing name...hehehe, I love it, but they are yet to approve it.
PS: My appologies for the previous posting if it was bordering on defamatory comments. Happy for it to be removed if it offended.
Cheers
