I like Zagalia, but a little birdy told me the "In Times Eyes" is better than Taufans Melody a couple of years ago. I tell you, Lady Harees, or whatever, and Dermot Weld? Gee it's getting tough to keep our Cups in Aus...

Intergaze,

I was on De Gaulle Lane well before its resumption, at $101. Up intil it broke down again I thought I was sitting pretty.

As to the Cup this Saturday, well...I'll make up my mind once I analysed the barriers.

DISTINCTLY SECRET has been my top pick all along. Failed to fire last preparation, including a well beaten 6th in the Australian Cup. In fine form in NZ following spell - forget last start in the YALUMBA. Unlucky 4th in last year’s race and could easily atone this year. Currently 9/1 NSWTAB fixed odds.

GREY SONG – A top EW hope. I think a better horse than this time last year. Has also put in some good efforts on dry tracks in recent times. Currently showing 25/1 on NSWTAB fixed odds.

IN TIME'S EYE - Stacks of money riding on this bloke. Well in for the "top" weight. The Irish Connection! Currently showing 6/1 on NSWTAB fixed odds.

ROSE ARCHWAY - My longshot. Well weighted & likes Caulfield. Currently showing 33/1 on NSWTAB fixed odds.

I did okay. I ended up backing Mummify and Distinctly Secret. However, I left Grey Song out of my Quinellas and Trifectas. I should have taken more notice of Paddy and Partypooper who both gave him a good chance. I must admit that I thought he was a bit of a wet track plodder. Well, it wasn't a wet track and he certainly didn't plod!!!
