Mon Mekki - ryan will have her ready, inform Nickolic to ride.

Danger could be old Mr Prudent...could he go one better in the melbourne cup this year.

I like the third emergency (18) MILZEEL if she gets a run.

Others in order - (15) LEGIBLE, (7) ROSE ARCHWAY & my old favourite (1) MR. PRUDENT.

Talk about a hard race Wexford my boyo! :???:

Sir Pentire likes MV & has good recent form. Bit of a duffer in the wet though, should the track be worse than dead.

Agree Wexford, Rose Archway a good chance. We know he can stay, just a little unsure if MV suits.

Badgers's Wood not without a show. Recent form not all that bad & likes MV. The wetter the better for this bloke.

And of course Mr. Prudent. Ran 3rd in this race last year (from memory). Sure to be stormin home in the dieing stages.

All in all, as open as the Sydney Heads

My top tips are Legible and Frightening.

There are other chances though....Mr Prudent, Rose Archway, Piachay, Mon Mekki, Delvecchio.....

Very open race!!!

Geez this is probably the hardest race of the day anywhere. I'll pick 3 horses here but would leave out plenty that I could make a case for.

1. Frightening (sure he got all the favors last start but he has some talent that is for sure distance is the main concern here more so than the 7 day backup)

2. Another Warrior (looks like he is ready for this trip and I don't think the wet is going to worry him)

3. County Tyrone (I thought he might settle a bit closer to the lead in this one and he absolutely loves the wet will be very good odds to boot)

Special mention Legible has ridiculos weight in this and with some luck could win but hey you gotta pick someone don't you can't sit on the fence.

Geez, good tipping Raw Instinct!!!

I backed Legible and Frightening and also had them in a quinella with Delvecchio. I didn't take a trifecta or first 4 because I wasn't confident at all about the other placings. I wouldn't have picked County Tyrone.
