Here's a quinella strategy from data on the TABQ website:

Consider the rating and last start finishing position of each runner.

Eliminate all runners rated below 94.
Eliminate all runners finishing worse than 5th last start.

Where there are two and only two horses remaining back for the quinella.

As usual, you'll get lots of 1st and 3rds, but I used this method with success for several months before it inexplicably fell in a hole.

But I've tested it again on batches of past races and see it turns a profit in the samples. Its a simple method worth consiodering, anyway.

I offer it here hoping to attract some thoughts on quinella schemes.

I'm a fan of the quinella. The only multiple I'm interested in. But there are very few threads about quinellas in this forum.

Any other quinella punters here? Why no quinella plans?

It sure is the forgotten betting medium alright. And probably the easiest to get.
I know this is the wrong way of going about it but in the past have tended to just box the 1st 5 wt rated up if in the 1st 5 of the opening market.
The correct way is to put varying amounts on each combination according to YOUR rated price to take out X amount of money.
Cheers.
