that over 70% of all thoroughbred races are won by 1 of the top 5 saddlecloths after scratchings?

my small sample is indicating this & I am hoping someone with a larger results database could have a look.

please note i have been ignoring races with less than 8 starters & those outside vic/nsw.

I can't confirm your results but i know they win a hell of a lot of races...this is what i like to do with them i look at the top five if there is a scratching i will take the next one down....if any of these 5 are the fav i delete it so most times i and up with 4 horses i use to bet them tp prices to win a certain amount on the race but i found when a decent winner came in i didn't have enough money on it thats why i deleted the fav and i normally stop when i get defind amount in front...these are the results from saturday starting with the first race in melbourne then going race to race useing the 5 main states includeing WA the first number is the amout of horses i would have bet the second is thier winning price on edited

mmmm well i guess unless you bet with a particular bookie it won't get a show....i hate to say it but i have checked a wide range of bookies prices and unless you like to bet in to a 135% market they can shove it....now if they bring this down to 115% i may consider it....they won't bet the 109% i got on that other site but if you can work out the races i am refering to for those winners you can see the beeter prices....those $20 and up winners did pay a lot better
