Not a good day yesterday.

Today's selections are:
Hawkesbury R5 no. 1 - Smart Maxie
Ballarat R1 no. 16 - Sweet Scholar
Ballarat R2 no. 9 - Lifting
Ballarat R8 no. 7 - True Courser
Rocky R6 no. 1 - Mydam Twist
Port Linc R2 no. 4 - Ruxton

NSWTAB. I'm looking at 6 points difference. Their rating numbers aren't as tight as Unitab's. There were two selections yesterday for one winner. Today's selections are:
Ballarat R2 no. 9 - Lifting
Ballarat R6 no. 3 - Tornado Kid
Port Linc R2 no. 7 - Shannon's Belle
Port Linc R7 no. 2 - Gil Echo
Rocky R1 no. 2 - Scarlet Sari
Rocky R4 no. 6 - Danatina

There are six selections each from both TABs. Ballarat R2 no. 9 is a 'coincider".

My Place tips are:
Port Linc R5 no. 1 - Covet In Gold
Port Linc R6 no. 1 - Griswald.

Hi, Ginger.

No, I don't use a staking plan, even though I'm sure one would increase the profit on win betting due to the high strike rate. Based on the current rules, since Sunday there have been 15 selections for 8 winners. The return for $1.00 on win betting is $18.40, while $15.00 (break-even)for place betting. Of the losers, several ran fourth. Judging on this, it appears that Unitab's ratings are not too bad. The results would have even been better if I had omitted races that have more than twelve starters. I'm currently monitoring these races as it may prove beneficial to omit them.

My Place selections have been outperforming the Unitab system. During the same period there have been seven selections for six placings including five winners. The win return is $17.80 and $9.90 for the place.
