That's a LOT of games. Have you thought of cutting it down to about 5 or 6 games? Would be a smaller dividend but a greater chance of success. Anyway, good luck!

I thought there were 4 good things this week, bulldogs $1.95, roosters $1.43, w/tigers $2.10 and storm $2.10. so i had big bets on the 1st 2 and something on the other 2, plus a small multi @ $12.29, so far ,so good.

I assume it will probably be one of two things; either you'll get your money back on that part of the bet OR you'll get half the expected winning dividend on that part of the bet. I hope for your sake it's money back.

Im not sure about IAS but on other sites you get half of your total ticket

Yeah, that's probably the case here too. I hope not for Jimmy's sake because NQ were favourites at around $1.50 or something. Well, at least they didn't lose!

I still think that if you're actually going to have a golden point situation, then there should be NO draws. Simply keep playing until you get a winner.

Agree totally with you regarding the draw situation Sportz (after extra time)...was a bit of a letdown when the game ended a draw between the Cowboys and Rabbitohs and I reckon both coaches would have like the chance to go for the winning points (thought Langmack was going to put on a jersey and take a drop goal himself LOL!)

sportznut

Yeah, I'm sure it would have taken no more than another 5 minutes or so. It seems so unfair that those two teams last night get rewarded with a point each because neither were good enough to break the deadlock, whereas the Broncos get nothing despite playing so damn well on Friday night! I think if the game is a draw, they should give both teams one point and then play extra time to find a winner and give that team another point. In other words, Newcastle should get 2 points and Brisbane 1. What do you think?

Think there has to be a winner at the end (whether they are deservedly so...does that matter?)...

goldmember
16th May 2004, 04:29 PM
I think they should get 1 point each after 80 minutes, then after extra time the winner should get 2 points, say knights 3 broncos 1, after all slogging it for that long both teams get something out of with the knights desrving a bonus after that extra effort.

Floydyboy
17th May 2004, 07:39 AM
As exciting as it is I dont believe there should be extra time at all for premiership rounds ,Stop after 80mins and give em a point a piece.....I think its ok for semis and finals etc though

Goldmember, you couldn't give a team that wins in extra time MORE points than another team that wins in 80 minutes. You might actually get teams TRYING to draw a match in the hope of getting 3 points instead of 2!

Yeah see your point on that, didnt think that one through too good did i.

floydyboy, just going through the stats for next week, some amazing stats again, so i might have to use my head instead of whats on paper.. have to wait and see

Just a suggestion and feel free to throw rocks if you wish
I think we should have a four leg accumulator comp any sport, friday to sunday, declare div for each leg ,and where you put bet on or (where available if ya dont want to put your hard earned on )largest winning div is winner
No points ladder,no prizes,
Winner take all(BUGGER ALL)..Just the prestige of being a legend for a week

sounds good, like the idea of the multi, comp

Back to your original posting-Multi.
I noticed,amongst other tips I found peculiar,you had Port at +14.5
Can you explain the logic in your tipping please?
I see that Port were favourites,so taking +14.5 you in fact are shortening your odds available.
I am new to selecting your own line betting
so am here to learn or advise others.

except for 2 of those legs (roosters and melb)
I wound "everything" back to $1.30 or the first price above 1.30 then i see what i think is a GOOD THING and throw it in the multi. So sometimes the fav has the point start (and sometimes they need it ) Or Carlton with 66.5 I thought was a good bet (not at three quarter time though ).
Its all a bit of fun for me ,I like to watch my money go round on saturday arvo .
I will be having a few decent multis shortly on the league and afl but ill only be having 2-3 legs
Hope that explains it for ya mooee Youd be surprised some of the start you can get if your prepared to take the shorts .....I dont seriously think its a good way to make a profit(11 legs) ...I actually started a few weeks ago at $1.50 which I think is probably a better way to go about it .Less "Good Things" ... Cheers

Thanks Floydyboy.Understand now.
$1.30 was a bit short.Unless I thought it was a 10's on chance.
I also suggest your $1.50 bet is the way to go.This would me my minimum price if I thought it was a 4's on chance.
You must remember though,if you are taking 10 events in your multi at $1.30,it really is the same as backing a single chance at $13.80.
If you thought each event was a really a 10's on chance, the actual chance of pulling it off is $2.60.
Huge overs there Floydyboy!.
If you limit your multi to 4 selections or less,go back to the $1.50 bracket.

Cheers - Mo
